Description

This test will verify the BCM internal memory banks.

Failure impact

• BCM-00010004 diagnostic code results of failure of one or more BCM internal

memories. The impact is complete loss of Ethernet functionality.

• BCM-00010005 diagnostic code results of failure loading the BCM drivers

Description

The Ethernet interfaces are tested by establising an PHY loopback internal to the

Ethernet PHYs. It will send test patterns and check correct reception of the test-patterns

for each Ethernet interface. The loopback is either through the BCM internal SERDES

PHY for SERDES based links or through the external 1000BaseT PHY.
